This model is a GW model as per the model number rule article. So it was a “radio/solar” 5510 and a “multiband 6” model. (This has a “U” and has not been updated.)

In 1983, the first G-SHOCK DW-5000C was released. At the end of that year, the WW-5100C for cold climates was released.
In 1984, the renewed WW-5300C was released.
Up to this point , the shape of the DW-5000C of the original G-SHOCK was not significantly different within the range of “square G-SHOCK” .
