I like the “square G-SHOCK” more than any other watch.

Light, thin and waterproof
Of course, it is waterproof only for Casio’s standard watch .
And it’s so thin and light that I forget I’m wearing it.
Since it is equipped with a perpetual calendar that keeps track of leap years, there is no need to adjust the date once it is set.
It’s not completely inaccurate like a radio-controlled watch. But it’s only around 10 seconds per month.
Adjusting the seconds once a month should be sufficient .
(Of course, it is much more accurate than mechanical watches such as Rolex .)
The model number rule is the same as G-SHOCK, where 1 is included in the model number which is black .

- Does not contain tough solar
- It does not have a shock-resistant structure like G-SHOCK
Therefore, I personally think that the LCD screen and the glass surface are close and the display is easier to see than the G-SHOCK.
(Although I wrote it as a glass surface, it is actually made of plastic due to the cost. If you are concerned about scratches, you should apply a liquid crystal protective film.)
Operation method and module are the same as A158
Casio watches have a convenient specification that “you can search and see the manual with the number enclosed in the square on the back cover”.
According to the official website, A158 and A164 have the same instruction manual number “593” , so it seems that the operation and contents are the same.

There is a 3 or 4-digit number enclosed in a square on the back cover of the CAIO Watch. You can see the manual by entering this number on
the Casio manual page .
Decide which one you want based on your design preference
It is similar to the A158WA and A158WE introduced in the past, so you should choose it according to your preference.
A164 is characterized by the shape of the band and the blue upper and lower frames on the board .
On the other hand, A158 is characterized by a blue frame around the board. Both are good.
