CASIO digital watch G-SHOCK GW-B5600 [New module with Bluetooth released in anticipation]

I like the “Square G-SHOCK” more than any other watch.

  • “New square G-SHOCK” that appeared with full satisfaction
  • Dare to break the existing “5000/5600 series” design
  • New module that can work with Bluetooth

This is GW-B5600-2

GW-B5600-2

It will be G-SHOCK, GW-B5600 with radio clock + solar + Bluetooth.

The list price is $ 179.

Battery-powered DW-5600E was 12,100 yen / US$ 69.95.

The GW-B5600 with Bluetooth added is 23,100 yen / $ 179.

Ambitious work aiming for a new basic

The GW-B5000 series featured this time is

It appeared as an ambitious work aiming for “new basic” following.

It’s easy to focus on Bluetooth but the design is so characteristic.

The dial is completely different from the conventional square G-SHOCK 5000/5600 series .

In a sense, ambitious or challenging.

[Difference between 5000 series and 5600 series]Introduction to square G-SHOCK

The 5000 series is a design based on the original G-SHOCK DW-5000C.

The 5600 series is a design based on the most basic G-SHOCK, DW-5600E.

The square G-SHOCK is mostly based on one of these two designs.

However, this GW-B5600 has a completely new dial .

Make a new square G-SHOCK! I can feel that spirit.

New features are installed one after another

Various functions have been added to the GW-B5600.

Announced in October 2018.
Half a year ago, the full metal G-SHOCK GMW-B5000, which came out in March 2018, became a big hit and was released when “I can’t get it at all!”.

Very simply, it ‘s a popular version of the same features as the GMW-B5000 .

After all, the module number “3459” of GWM-B5000 and the module number “3461” of GW-M5600 have the same manual! In other words, the functions are the same.

Trivia

CASIO watches have a number on the back cover that is surrounded by a square .
This number is called the module number. You can view the manual by entering this number on
the CASIO instruction manual page .

You can see that the instructions I own have the same 3459 and 3461.

Instructions I own

It was released with black urethane specifications as before.( not full metal.)

New features for developing the GWM-B5000 have been generously introduced.

  • Addition of Bluetooth function as well as radio clock and tough solar
  • In GW-M5610, the bezel was thin and changed a little stylishly, but the bezel of exactly the same size as the 5000 series was adopted and revived.
  • The GW-M5610 was displayed as “0h” on the stopwatch, and the current time could not be seen, and the DW-5600E user was dissatisfied, but it was improved to display the current time.
  • Not only that, a model equipped with a new band to surpass the popular composite band when the GW-M5600BC appeared at the same time
  • The new band name has a fine resin band which designes with a round mark like the bezel, and the texture is closer to the bezel, increasing the sense of unity.

It has been greatly improved.

Wasn’t it a little popular?

It’s a personal experience. But I feel that it was a little unpopular and unpopular.

Perhaps it was unpopular. The colors were gradually reduced.

There were three colors that were first released.

Looking at Casio’s homepage, the yellow GW-B5600-1 was discontinued as soon as possible. The reason that the yellow LCD was not probablygood enough. GW-B5600-2 is probably displayed as an old model only in stock.

After that, considering that the GW-M5610U was released, it was the GW-B5600 that tried to make it a new standard. But let’s give up and go with the GW-M5610! It may have become.

There are various causes.

  • Design that did not look like G-SHOCK
  • It is inconvenient that the battery level is not displayed
(you can see it from your smartphone with the Bluetooth function)
  • Full metal G-SHOCK GMW- B5000D is very popular six months after its release .
  • Thy could make a little that could be done with the Bluetooth function
  • Although a monotone model has been released, it cannot be made all black because of the solar panel.

For the design, it might have been better to hide the film exquisitely with the brick shape of GMW-B5000D or the non-slip metal style of GM-M5610 .

This is the dial of my GW-B5600

Next, the dial of GMW-B5000D that I own

It’s a matter of taste, but it’s kind of halfway. If simplicity is good, I feel that DW-5600BB is more complete.

After that, two of the three colors that came out first. They were inverted liquid crystals, but it is quite difficult to see compared to the inverted liquid crystal of GMW-B5000D that adopted TFT liquid crystal just after it came out.

Depending on the angle …
It’s pretty hard to see

When this was only the GW-M5610BC, the difficulty of only the inversion liquid crystal was cool. But I guess that the difficulty of seeing became conspicuous after the “easy-to-see inversion liquid crystal” came out to do.

If you want to get it, get it early

It will end as it is, Perhaps!

Depending on the model, it seems that it will be in stock only. But the content is the same as the full metal G-SHOCK GMW-B5000D. There is no doubt that it is the latest model.

(As I wrote earlier, the GW-B5600 module 3459 and the full metal G-SHOCK GMW-B5000 module 3461 have the same manual! In other words, they have the same functions.)

  • I like this design
  • I want to set the time with a Bluetooth connection the reason why the radio clock is weak in the area.
  • I want to get a fine resin band

The above person who may be better to get early.
