Adding a G-SHOCK band to a cheap Casio requires some ingenuity
G-SHOCK and Cheap Casio are similar, but the band width is different. So you can’t replace the band without some ingenuity.
Band width of Cheap Casio is 18mm
The band width of G-SHOCK is 16mm
G-SHOCK is tougher but smaller.
So, if you attach the G-SHOCK band as it is…
There is a gap and you can see the “spring bar” of the watch, which is very uncool .
For this reason, some ingenuity is required to attach it.
How to attach
What you need to prepare is a “strong rubber tube” .
I think that the pipe used for wiring etc, is good
It’s a rubber tube that looks like this. Cut this into about 1mm and prepare 4 pieces .
You can’t really see it. So you don’t have to worry about the beauty of the cut surface.
Here is the result of putting this in between.
There is a slight sense of incongruity on the design, but the feeling of use is good.
You may hear many people say why go out of their way to buy an expensive G-SHOCK (in this case, buy the GW-B5600BC) and add a cheap body. But that’s what I’m particular about.
This method is also expensive because you need to buy two watches.
After all, it looks a little uncomfortable , so I don’t recommend it to everyone.
